How to type fast on the Keyboard without looking

        If we saw any programmer or any person who was typing faster, we were definitely excited (people who are didn’t know how to type faster). We may think how are they type faster like tac tac tac… We also think to type like them. Because, we can also finish work faster if we are a programmer, content writers, or students. The fun fact is that keyboard keys are shuffled because people were typing on the keyboard very faster. To reduce that speed, manufacturers shuffled keys. Because in starting days keyboard has malfunctioned when the keyboard was typed faster by the user. But, nowadays that problem was fixed. However, the keyboard was in the old style because of users’ requests. It was familiar to users. Ok, coming back to the topic. In this blog, we will see some tips to type faster in any language.

Why do we need to type faster?

      If you are a content creator or programmer, you need to learn how to type faster because we can finish those work early. If you can type words that equal thinking speed, it was the game-changing one. We can finish the blog writing work or video script faster and it will not interrupt our thinking while writing. Actually, I had an experience with it. While I writing blog posts, words had come to my mind. After writing them slowly, that flow had gone. I need to go back to that flow and will write the continuous again. Now also I am facing the same problem but, I am going to use these tricks for the next few days. I request you to use them and tell me the result of yours. I am eagerly waiting to see it.

Use keyboard shortcuts

       We need to learn keyboard shortcuts because it will reduce our time. For example, if we typed a word wrong, we will click the backspace key many times, it will depend on the word’s length. But, there is a shortcut key to clear the whole world with one click. That was,

·        Click control (ctrl) + backspace

If we press these keys, we will see the complete word was vanishing. It makes us do not click the backspace key many times. There is a shortcut to clear the whole sentence. It was

·        Click shift + home + backspace

Actually, I first time tried these keys while writing this blog post (LOL). And use more shortcut keys on the keyboard without using the mouse. It also increased our productivity.

Practice on website

         I practiced on 10fingers.com. The first time, I got a score of 31 words per minute (WPM). But the average typing speed is 45 WPM. One professional can type 65-75 words per minute. I got this data in Google search. I’ve attached me before and after results here.

 I will update my typing speed when I will see an improvement in the future. And, the first time I tried to type faster on that website. I had an aim to get 50-55 WPM. But, I got 31 WPM only. I was frustrated while seeing that score. Again, I tried to type faster with frustration. But, I got 25 WPM, It was too bad when compared to the old score. I keep trying to score more scores on that website. Treat it as a game to reduce our anxiety. You also try it and tell us what your score was on it?

The secret trick to type faster

        Many people are using this secret to type faster on the keyboard. That secret trick is you need to assign fingers to the letters. It was a famous trick. I hope many of you familiar with it. It was the simplest one. Generally, people start at the row of a second. I’ve attached the image.

        If we want to click shift or tab or ctrl buttons we will use a pinky finger for it. And to click the space bar we will use a thumb finger for it. In starting we need to place our LEFT-hand fingers on’ A, S, D, F’. And our right-hand fingers on ‘;, L, K, J’. From that position, we can move our fingers for the required words. In starting it was hard. But, by practice, we can improve our typing speed.

       Now, I am also trying to type faster by using this trick. In starting period, I never saw the screen, I had my eyes on the keyboard only. But, it was not the correct method. My typing speed never increased. In this trick, they say,” we need to focus on screen only. We do not see the keyboard. We need to store the keys' position in muscle memory.  In the beginning, we may think, it was a time-wasting thing. It takes too much time. Yes, it should take more time to learn, after practicing that skill, it will save our time a lot. And our sitting position also may take a huge part in speed typing.
