How to get more subscribers in YouTube

How I got 852 Subscribers within 1 and half years 😬

   If we have clarity about what should not do on YouTube, we can get an answer to the problem that how to get more subscribers on youtube. So, in this blog, I will share my knowledge about YouTube and my personal experience of being a Youtuber. In April-2020 I started my YouTube channel. From April to now (Feb-2022). Now I am having 852 subscribers only. During this period I learned many things about what should not do on YouTube.

Money is my only motive:

       

I started my YouTube channel to generate money. Obviously, We can generate more money on YouTube. If you are a part-time YouTuber you can also make a lot of money. But, if we open an YouTube channel for the money-generating purpose we can't grow our channel. We may grow but by my personal experience, I said we can't. Because In youtube we need to post many videos. After uploading a lot of videos on YouTube, we will eligible for YouTube monetization. I uploaded many videos with a lot of expectations when I upload a video I imagined that this video will make millions of views after that I will eligible for monetization and I can made a lot of money. But in reality, that video hit 30-40 views. Those viewers are also my friends. I frustrated in that moment and I didn't upload a video for after 2 or 3 weeks.

    For that only I told that do not make a YouTube channel for money-generating purposes. We will disappoint. Alternatively, create videos with passion.

Consistency is the key:

     Of course, in all cases consistency is the only key to success. This platform was not different from others. In starting stage of my YouTube channel, I uploaded a video without consistency. I uploaded a video weekly. After one week, I hadn't uploaded it. Another week, I had uploaded two videos. It was the best thing which was showing my irrespective. After some months, one of the videos got 1k views. I was so excited.  Till that time also I didn't follow consistency. After 2 or 3 months, I realized my mistake. After that, I started to upload videos consistently. I uploaded 3 videos in a week. I followed it till nearly one month. After one month, one of the my videos got 10k+ views. It was a mystery related content. Again, I was so excited. That video crosses 30k+ views and my watch time hours also increased. It was the reason was I said that consistency was the key.

Again I was disappointed:

   One of my videos was running successfully. I used to make a couple of videos related that the most viewed videos. But, other videos were not got views like that. It was again got nearly 100 views. But, that most viewed video was performed so well. But, I didn't give focus to that video, I focused on my poor performance video. If I focused on my well-performed video, I definitely got monetization from YouTube. I think most of the YouTubers also had been focused on their well-performed video. Again, I didn't upload a video on YouTube with consistency. My views were decreased. I quit YouTube for 2-3 months. I didn't upload a video because of my disappointment. But, in my mind, this image quote was popping up regularly (I've attached the image).
    I thought I had come closer to the diamond (Monetization). I told myself that I shouldn't quit. Now March 2022, I am posting weekly one or two videos consistently. We will see my channel growth. My misunderstanding about YouTube:

       In starting stage of YouTube, I heard that if we want to get Monetization from YouTube, we need to cross 1k subscribers and 4000 watch time hours. Before I heard it, I think we need to get 4000 minutes watch time was enough. After realizing it, I was shocked. I thought that how I would cross this requirement. I watched a YouTube video related to this kind of stuff. In it, he said that it had not been in our hand. It was a not controllable thing. But, we can able to post 30 hours of videos on our channel. After uploading, those videos we definitely cross those requirements (if our videos were good).
        And then I also met with another misunderstanding that if we want to get Monetization we should get 4000 hours within 12 months. I thought this requirement that if we want to get it within 1 year. I started my channel in April 2020. After crossing April 2021 I will miss those watch time hours from my channel.
   But in reality, it was not like that. Our videos watch time hours will decrease but not totally. It was gradually decreasing. At the time of applying Monetization, we will have 1k subscribers and 4000 watch time hours in the past 12 months. I hope, you're not like me. You had a clarity about this.
