 Codex Gigas (The Devil’s bible)

      In this blog, we are going to see about the codex gigas book. It was not a normal book. It was a mysterious one. We can’t hold it like normal book. It had 36 inch long, 20 inch wide and 8.7 inches thick. You may ask if book was big, is it a mysterious one? I am not telling, it was mysterious by height and width. Its page was made up of donkey’s skin. Researchers told that near 150 donkeys would be murdered for this Devil’s bible. And then, you may ask why is it called as Devil’s bible? If you want to know the answer of this question, you need to read this blog up to end.

How did it found?

      Before going to know the answer of that question, we will see about how was this book found? In 1648, Soldiers had found this book in monetary after war. They found it behind the mysterious door in Swedish. Its weight was 75 kg. Two soldiers were lifted that book. They were more curious to open and read that book. In starting pages of that book, it contained some medical remedies and guidelines for pray God. In starting of that book it contained good things. But after few pages it contained about how to exoise from human’s body. Exoism means expulse the negative energy (Ghosts) from human body.

    It had 320 pages but now it had 310 pages. 10 pages were tore because in those pages had contained the guidelines of calling Devil god. It was a theory by researchers. After that, it contained a drawing of Lucifer’s (Who was the God of Devils) at page number 290. What was the need to place a devil’s image in a Bible?

Why it was called as “Devil’s Bible”?

      In 13^th century, one Monk was going to die within few hours. His death penalty had to fulfil by to build a building around him like a tomb. A Monk who violated his monastic rules requested to write a book to escape from punishment of death penalty. By writing a book he told them that he could bring fame to the monastery. He struggled more to write the book because he told them that he should finish that book within one day to escape from his punishment. He had been writing till morning but he couldn’t able to finish it. So, he prayed a god to finish that book not a Positive god he prayed a devil’s god. Lucifer who was the God of Devils arose in front of him. He requested to Lucifer that help him to finish that book. Lucifer helped him with one condition. It was that when Devil wanted his soul, Devil would take it. He accepted the offer of Devil and Devil helped him wrote that book within one day. That Monk had finished it and got rid of his punishment.

  This mysterious have been believed by people right now. Because, researchers told that generally, normal person want to write this type of book, it takes 75% of person’s life time. But, it had written by one person within one day. I catch your mind voice that how was it possible. They didn’t find the answer for this question. So, they were believing that mysterious story.

How researchers say “It was written by one person”?

     This book had a same handwriting from starting to end. And that handwriting wasn’t normal. It was written with Calligraphy style. And most of the pages, we will see different colour coding for heading and some drawings. And main thing is there was an image of Devil’s god as I told on starting of this blog. And also it contains Heaven without people drawing.

Conclusion
